[The Simple Game]

suprisingly easy

I usually suck at these games, but I only died once on this. I guess as an ego booster it's pretty good.

While it started off being a little difficult to get the hang of, after a while it just became relaxing (as you said in the description). I think it was a smart move to make dying impossible, since the game seems more accessible this way. Love the 8-bit look and new age music

just another game

this is just another bejeweled clone that won't get blammed but will nevertheless fall into the endless pit that is the newgrounds game archive. It works, it's sort of fun, but at the end of the day it's nothing new or ground breaking, it's just sorta there.

when I beat it

It seems that when I beat it nothing happened. I killed the giant bear and the game just sorta stopped, The music was still playing and I could still fire, but the game was over. Very annoying way to end things, but it could just be a glitch on my computer. Either way, it was pretty fun, I liked the clean look and amusing graphics. There was some serious issues with the difficulty curve, mostly centering around the sniper rifle being fairly useless. I also thought the plain enemies were cool, but as the game went on I found it easier just to ignore them. All and all it's pretty good, but needs some work.

I don't think "good" is the proper choice of an adjective, it's more like a crappy excuse for an advertisment. Try harder next time, or at least don't insult us with an ad during the needlessly long loading screen.

controls are a bit off

The timing seems to need more perfecting to me or at least have a tutorial that shows exactly how close an object can be before you swing at it , and occassionally I was caught in a few impossible situations (such as a tiger attacking me the second I swung off from a vine), but still pretty fun

There is a little tutorial at the beginning, didn't you notice it?

this isn't too bad

the concept might be kind of dumb, but the execution isn't too bad, and the art isn't horrible. I think you did a pretty good job.

the menu and gameover music is the nicest thing about this thing. Which is bad, considering incidental things shouldn't be the highlight of the game.

too easy

this was a great game and very fun, but it was also a little on the easy side. After I got one shelter all I had to do was hide out until each wave passed, and if I didn't do that than I just bought an automatic weapon and never looked back. It's well made, but perhaps you could have more levels, or even sections where you have to fly the baloon itself.
