welp, here's my first post. Figured if someone actually reads this than it's probably worth making. PLUS, the time I spend writing this is time I spend not working on my homework, and in the end, isn't that all that really matters?
Anyway, just got flash for the first time on my computer, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I'm not really very proficent with any of the tools yet, and it keeps giving me this weird slowdown after about 5 to 7 frames have been made. It only gets worse with more frames, and I know my computer is good enough to run it, so I'm thinking bad install maybe. It's 10.0.2 I think, and I remember hearing that adobe fixed most of the lag with that release. So If anybody knows anything about that or feels like giving me some advice on general flash usage, feel free to comment.
That aside, I'm starting my first real flash project. It probably won't have color or sounds and it's going to be around 15 fps, but it will also be 500 to a thousand frames (many of them hand drawn) and the people look like fully rendered and fairly anatomically sound humans so I'm hoping that alone should keep score above 3.5 (maybe). I'm really just doing it as an experiment in flash, so don't expect anything mind blowing (or if you do, at least be prepared to get let down). I honestly am hoping to make a name for myself on this sight, I'm not even going to pretend otherwise. I feel like it would be a good way for me to put myself out there and maybe meet a few of the right people in the process. I know it's not likely, but it is possible, and that's enough to make me want to try.
So if you read all this, I'll give you props for taking this much time out of you day for a random stranger, and be looking forward to my first flash post in a month or so. I'm aiming for daily 5th!
