Great animation

Extremely amusing, especially the way you included the grammatical errors in the reading.

Also, the infamous, "I GOT A SHOTGUN" line is actually from biohazard, or Resident Evil to those of us who speak English. Just in case anyone (uzilover91) was wondering.

honestly

It was kinda bad. I'm sure people will hate this review for being so negative, but there was absolutely nothing impressive or exemplary about this piece. The writing was cliche, the voice acting just okay, the animation was smooth but poorly drawn and I couldn't help but laugh at a personification of teenage angst played so straight.

the level of detail in this is just mindblowing. Your talent is extremely apparent here, but the amount of work and dedication that this must have required is what really impresses me. I know I'm not exactly the most qualified person to critique this, but I can definitely see where some of the facial shots and line work might be less than satisfactory in your eyes, but I only think that's because of the the overall quality that this work exudes. Either way, definitely well done, 10/10 hands down.

I'm honestly not sure what this series is saying

It's not that funny, but I get the feeling it wasn't really meant to be. Yeah, it seems to use misdirection as a means to get people to watch it or get caught off guard by it or whatever, but it's just too serious for its own good. Which makes me wonder, is this series a parody? It's just too obnoxious, cliche and obvious to be a straight faced drama or even dramady. I mean, Micky is so meta aware of himself its almost impossible to take him seriously, but if the series is a parody it's either too subtle or not subtle enough (if that makes sense). I almost feel like this is your way of saying "hey newgrounders and everybody else, you fucks will watch and play anything to get a visceral thrill, and this series is proof of that". Or maybe Micky is supposed to be an allegory for the youth of today, which makes some sense if you frame his conversation with the old man in that context. I guess, no matter how I look at it, there's nothing particularly unique or interesting about this series that makes it all that compelling, but considering how much work you've put into it, that makes me wonder if I'm just missing the point. Either way I still get a laugh from a few of the jokes and the campy dialogue, plus the animation is good, so I guess that's something.

Seriously though, this is hilarious, I knew the giant boners were coming the second I saw the word "reach" in the title. I swear, with all the hype you'd think this game could cure cancer, aids and hepatitis all while giving you the blowjob of a lifetime.

well done

excellent sprite animation. I would enjoy the genre a lot more if this much effort and attention to detail was put into more submissions. One thing a really appreciated was the lack of blood. I know a lot of animators would be tempted to throw in crappy blood effects to make the animation more "hard core", but leaving them out made it look cleaner and more convincing. All in all, great job. Just so you know, I rarely give out tens, but this is easily one of the best sprite animations I've seen, so I think you deserve it.

The lack of blood / gore or body breaking and limb removal was the only regular suggestion from the previous video that I outright ignored. I dig those kinds of videos, too, don't get me wrong, but that certainly wasn't the direction I wanted this video to go. I wanted River City to stay kinda "raw."

the joke was recycled, but the timing and animation cues were pretty good. All in all with a bit more "LENGTH" it would be a pretty "SOLID" piece of animation. (see what I did there)

['Kite']

beautiful

and thus the kite and the bird lived happily after ever and went on to make weird kite/bird hybrid babies. Seriously though, very nice animation. I particularly liked the water drop and the string effects, but the profile of the girl running was also very well done.
