not bad

probably one of your better pieces. Quick question though. How do you get on the art portal? I have some art on here that I know is fairly decent, but I don't know how to get recommended or have my work displayed or voted on. If someone can tell me I'd really appreciate it.

Artyluck responds:

Hello! Thanks. One girl got me scouted and ta-da, I'm at public. Your art have potential, I recommended you, but you need 4 artworks to get scouted. Goodluck. ;)

love it

great creativity and storybook style. You've got a lot of creative talent from the looks of it. The only things that really bother me are that right forearm and hand, they appear a little flat and the anatomy seems wonky. Aside from that, good job!

dommi-fresh responds:

have you every seen a tree warrior? their anatomy differs alot

what can I say

little fucker was asking for it! You don't just flop around on a giant Scandinavian's territory without faceing SOME kind of reprisals!

DAmn straight!

it's nice to see artist still using paint

While I admit I do use photoshop, I still like to whip out paint once in a while, and when I was younger it was the only thing I used! So having used it as much as I did, I can really grasp how much skill this must have taken. Really, really great work. Love the effects as well as the characters. Keep it up!

StarwolfTsuname responds:

Ah yes, good ol Ms Paint right? XD Thank you very much for the comment, much appreciated!

not too bad

this is a nice picture, it's pretty good from an anatomical perspective, but it's the armor and background that really makes it shine. The ink only helps to accentuate that and create an atmosphere that feels appropriate for this dragoon like character. My only major critisms would be with the the mid torso, which feels a little off centered and bit lacking in shade detail around the breastplate, and with the mask. While the mask itself looks great, the area beneath it appears almost to be an eyeball done in a sonic-type style. While I realized that was his face and mouth after a moment, it wasn't readily apparant and makes the quality appear much lower than it is. Those two complaints aside, I really do like it. Good work!

StarwolfTsuname responds:

holy fishsticks batman! It took me a few seconds to see the Eye, that is scary! XD Oh boy, heh your right about the torso, its rather awkward and too anime ish. My biggest problem that I am still trying to overcome is hierarchy, its seems its not my strongest point as an artist. thanky ou so much for the honest critique I really appreciate it!

I really love your style

as an art major, I've learned that good artists are a dime a dozen, but uniquely talented artists are a far rarer and more valuable find, and I'd say you belong in the latter category! This isn't that false flattery you always see on deviant art either, I'm dead serious here. Your artwork is eye-catching, fluid and fun to look at, not to mention just different enough to hold a persons interest. That combined with your equally fluid animation style and creative ideas really makes for some great end products. My only advice is to kiep up the good work and nver settle for medocrity.

SpamClamberton responds:

Thanks man, really appreciate that. Also DeviantArt is MADE of false flattery. I don't think I've ever seen any negative comments there ever. Critisism is against the rules or something.
